Communities

Our placement services are designed to take the stress out of the process of finding the right accommodations when you can no longer stay at your home safely. We understand that each senior’s needs are unique, which is why we provide personalized attention and care to each and every one of our clients. We know the local facilities, and can get you to the right place with the right care at the right price.

Independent Living

Independent living communities are for seniors who don’t need assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, or food preparation. This option is for seniors who are looking for a living environment that offers additional support, onsite amenities and socializing opportunities and activities. Service levels in these communities have a wide range.

Assisted Living

An assisted living facility is for seniors who have minimal needs for assistance with daily living and care. The general purpose is to help adults live independently in a safe environment.

Nursing Home

Nursing homes or skilled living facilities provide hands-on assistance with most activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, hygiene, food prep) for people who can no longer live on their own without substantial assistance. Expect rooms instead of apartments, and personal care assistance including administration of medications included in the base fees.

Continuing Care

A Continuing Care retirement community is a retirement community where your continuum of aging care needs—from independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care—can all be met within the same facility or campus.

Life Care

A Life Care community is a continuing care retirement community. Life Care provides seniors with the opportunity to pay an upfront fee to receive guaranteed care for life.

The guarantee means that you’ll be able to receive quality health care, accommodations, onsite amenities and services even if your financial resources are exhausted through no fault of your own.

There are many conditions to this offer, and I recommend having a lawyer review the agreement.

Memory Care

Memory Care is a specialized form of care for seniors struggling with memory loss due to dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other cognitive impairments. Specially trained staff deliver personalized care focused on keeping your loved one comfortable, engaged, and safe.

Veterans

As a veteran, you may be able to get assisted living, residential (live-in), or home healthcare through VA.  Revive Senior Care can help you access these long term care services and more.

But I don't want to move!

I am reluctant to go to a senior community. What’s good about them?

Let’s cut to the chase. You don’t want to live in an institution, and you don’t want anyone in your family to live in one.

Places like that exist. I won’t take you to any of them.

The communities in North Carolina area that we recommend range from small houses to mid sized buildings, or a facility that reminds you of the Hilton.

Here in North Carolina we have options at every level of cost and amenities.

What does a day look like?

In most senior communities you can expect some or all of this:

• Restaurant style meals

• More physical activity

• New friends and peer groups your own age

• Group activities

• Privacy when you want it

• Transportation provided, or bring your own car

• Single cost pricing

• Family no longer having to act as a caregiver

• Safety, and access to help in an emergency

And what do all these places cost?

It depends on what you choose!

What I’ll do is go over your current costs, compare them to the senior communities in town, and discuss your own financial situation.
